Comprehensive Support, Tailored to Every Person
Every individual is unique. Our services are designed around the person — not a one-size-fits-all program — so support fits real life.
Daily Living Support
Help with meals, personal care, household tasks, and routines — building confidence and real-world skills, not dependency.
Community Integration
Support to take part in community life — shopping, events, recreation, faith communities, and local organizations.
Employment & Skills Training
Job coaching, resume support, and workplace assistance so individuals can pursue meaningful work and financial independence.
Health & Wellness Coordination
Medication management, appointment scheduling, and care coordination with your healthcare team — keeping everything organized.
Family & Caregiver Support
Guidance, respite care, and clear communication tools for families — because supporting one person means supporting their whole circle.
Transition & Housing Services
Helping people move from institutional settings or family homes into supported, community-based living with safety and stability.
15 Years of Helping People Live the Life They Choose
Quality Independence Carolina was founded by people who had personal experience navigating the support system — and who knew it could be done with more heart, more flexibility, and better results.
For over 15 years, we have worked alongside individuals, families, case managers, and healthcare providers across North and South Carolina. We serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, and mental health needs.
Our approach is simple: we listen first. Every person gets a support plan built around their actual goals, not a standard checklist. Then we put the right team in place and measure success by the outcomes that matter most to the individual.
- Dignity First
- Community Rooted
- Person-Centered
- Outcome Focused
What Makes Quality Independence Different
There are many providers. Here is what families tell us sets us apart after 15 years in the Carolinas.
Truly Individualized Plans
We invest real time up front to understand each person's goals, preferences, and strengths before a single support session begins.
Staff Who Genuinely Care
We hire for character first, then train for skill. Our support professionals build real, lasting relationships — not shift-by-shift transactions.
One Integrated Team
We coordinate health, housing, employment, and community support together — so families don't have to manage a dozen separate providers.
Clear, Open Communication
Families stay informed. We provide regular updates and are always reachable — no chasing, no silence, no surprises.
Flexible & Responsive
Life changes. We adapt quickly — adjusting support levels, schedules, and services as individuals grow and circumstances evolve.
Results That Matter
We track real progress: skills gained, goals reached, connections made. Your loved one's growth is our measure of success, not hours logged.
Support for a Wide Range of Needs
We work with individuals and families across many situations. If you see yourself or a loved one below, reach out — we'll figure out together if we're the right fit.
Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities
Including autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other IDD diagnoses
Physical Disabilities
Mobility challenges, chronic conditions, and physical limitations requiring daily living support
Mental Health Needs
Individuals managing mental health conditions who benefit from structured, compassionate daily support
Traumatic Brain Injury
Support for individuals recovering from or living with the lasting effects of a traumatic brain injury
Aging Adults
Seniors who want to remain in their own home and community with the right level of support

Families Who Found Their Peace of Mind

"After my accident I was terrified I would lose my independence forever. The team at QI helped me rebuild it, step by step. I'm back in my own apartment, cooking my own meals. I cannot thank them enough."
"As a parent getting older, my biggest worry was 'what happens when I'm gone?' QI Carolina helped me build a real, solid plan. Now I sleep at night knowing my daughter is in the care of people who truly know her."
